'Boring and small' ... that's how the homeowners of this project saw their kitchen before our renovation. Lacking the 'wow' and contemporary style evoked by the rest of their home, the homeowners wanted a kitchen that not only suited their large family, but was a space that made them want to spend time in it. With space and storage a focal point of this remodel, the goal of this project was to take the skeleton of the existing kitchen and give it a facelift. The addition of a second story years before meant existing columns and support beams limited any structural changes we wanted to make, so finding ways to make a big difference with small changes became our mantra.
